FLOWERS
YOUTH & ADULT
FLOWERS ARE TO BE ENTERED WED. 8-10 A.M.
As time is of an essence on Wednesday morning, we ask that you observe the rules and abide by them. You may get your master number at different times before Wednesday to help speed up the process. The extra vases are available on a first come first served basis. The gates will be open until 10 a.m. to allow you to drive in and unload your flowers. We just ask that as soon as you can, to move your vehicle for other people to unload. We realize that this is a very short time to get everyone entered, but it can be and has been done for years. The Flowers, Produce and Food Preservation areas are the first things that people see as they enter the June Simington Building, and we love for it to be full and show how many green thumbs we have in Randolph Co.
The exhibitor must put flowers into containers. Any cluster of flowers will be entered as a bouquet. No plant weighting over 25 pounds, and no plant over 3 feet tall will be accepted! All shrubs must have a bloom and/or berries and foliage left on the stems, with stems at least 6 inches long. A leaf or a stem from a potted plant CANNOT be used as a flower specimen. Only one of each of the following flowers or plants may be entered. The exhibitor must have grown all entries for at least 3 months prior to the fair. All exhibits must be in place by 10 a.m. People who have to work Wednesday morning may bring in their flowers on Tuesday night from 6-8 p.m.
NO WILD FLOWERS, SPECIMENS OF MOSS, 4 O’CLOCKS OR MORNING GLORY WILL BE ACCEPTED!
